Why Does My Mouse Pointer Stop Scrolling When I Pass Over a Youtube Video?

This is so annoying. I will be smoothly scrolling down a page, run into a youtube video, and then my mouse stops scrolling until the pointer is moved off the video. I am using a mac. Can anyone tell me what that is caused by?

I have this same problem on my Windows PC. ‘m not entirely sure why it does that but I’m guessing it is because the video is running and is different from the rest of the page, which is "solid", if you get what I’m saying.

Something in your computer. I just tried it and I can scroll with the mouse pointer on the video.
