To pop balloons with a laser pointer, you would need a green laser pointer 95mW or above. A tip about popping balloons is to use only black colored balloons. If your balloon is not black, color the balloon with a black marker.
Another trick is to use a magnifying glass to focus the laser pointer’s beam. If you use a magnifying glass, you may get away with popping balloons with a 55mW to 75mW laser pointer.
