Like i will be typing and if i have the pointer on top of a word and then continue typing, it'll take it back to where the pointer is, its driving me crazy and i want to know how i can make it stop doing that! >.<
you need to reduce your touch pad sensitivity or something, your palm accidentally touches it while typing and clicks the mouse
Edit: as uni-verse said, it's a good idea to get a mouse, it's much easier this way, just make sure in your touch pad properties that it's diabled when you plug the mouse, there's no need to cover it, that's what I do
i recommend a cordless mouse

Gah, that happens to me all the time!!!

I'm gonna keep an eye on this question.

Welcome to the world of loose fingers!
You are probably like me and have found your extra fingers just glide over the touch pad a little when you are typing and that fixes the position of the cursor. When you continue typing it starts from that point. There is nothing wrong with the computer in other words. The Harsh reality it is U !
I solved this problem by getting a pet Mouse.
Yes a mouse will solve the problem for you and make it easier to scroll etc. Just finish with a slight movement of the mouse to move the cursor off to the side over a white area.
You can actually cover the touch pad to shut it off , if you find you still have problems after plugging in the mouse.
